Working Girl...

Okay...I know it has been weeks since my last post. Don't worry - I'm still here.

I haven't been able to get online much in the past week because I started a new job at Smiths Medical in Dublin on the 10th. I finally broke down and got hired on as a temp...within 5 days I had my new position! It was originally just an 8 week assignment, but on my first day the manager pulled me out of the group and now I'm temp-to-hire.

I do data entry (entering PO's from all over the country) in my own little cubicle - and I am treated like a regular employee. So far I like it - it is challenging because each order is unique and I have to remember a lot. I love that I don't have to take calls. I'm also allowed to listen to my music on my MP3 player whenever I want. The people are friendly too. Plus, the perks so far have included this awesome birthday cake and next week I get a free massage at work! Sweet...

I'm working full time now and it is kicking my ass. It has been years since I have done this and my old body is not used to it. I seem to be fine at work (after I get over the shock of being awake at 6:45 AM), but as soon as I get home all I want to do is sleep. I'm useless. I haven't even been getting online to check my emails or anything. I'm seriously out of the loop. I'm so behind on my SpeakOUT work. I don't know how I used to handle everything before.

My poor dog does not seem to understand why I keep leaving for so long. Poor sweetie.

Anyhow...I know this is short, but I need to get to bed. I promised myself I would write though.
